He's the kind of player that defined controversial. Comments he made to a Sports Illustrated reporter may have been taken out of context, but none the less the report blew through the sports world very quickly and ended up overshadowing his career.

Author Lesley-Ann Jones fascinates me. As a rock journalist she traveled with Queen in the 80s and saw first hand a lot of what she began to write about in her Freddie Mercury biography some years later. It's a book that's not meant to glamorize the personal life but highlight the musician that is still remember today was one of the best singers in all of rock.
