Bruno Mars on SNL
by Chad
,
posted Oct 22 2012 2:35PM
Since I don't know much about him, I didn't know what to expect from Bruno Mars hosting SNL this weekend. Overall, I think he held his own pretty well, even if not all the skits worked. When they didn't, it seemed to be more of the writing than the acting. The Pandora sketch was especially good, but apparently, it is unavailable. I would guess it has to do with copyright stuff. Essentially, the Pandora control room lost the vocal track to several channels and Mars had to sing live, impersonating Green Day, Aerosmith, and Michael Jackson. It was quite entertaining. Check out the highlights!

Daniel Craig on Saturday Night Live
by Chad
,
posted Oct 8 2012 3:25PM
Being a James Bond nerd, I was really looking forward to Daniel Craig hosting this past weekend's Saturday Night Live. Unfortunately, I didn't think it was very good. Some of the sketches had potential, but just didn't come through. I thought the "lesser known Bond girls" would be great, but they lead with a Diane Keaton impression. How is a Diane Keaton impression even a thing? Even the Big Bird appearance seemed really forced. Overall, disappointing. Craig should just stick to kicking ass. He's quite good at that.

Being a beer nerd
myself , I find this study very interesting. It looks at people's beer preference and how it relates to voting Republican or Democrat and voter turn out, as well. Not surprisingly, microbrew (craft beer) drinkers tend to vote more Democrat and have a very high turn out. Bud Light drinkers are pretty much split right down the middle in all four categories. How does this match up for you?
