Actress Lea Thompson was a big part of my childhood. I must have watched Back to the Future a few hundred times. So when I got the chance to interview I screamed a little. But it almost didn't happen. The interview time came and passed, but after the fact I messaged Lea for the first time on Twitter AND she messaged me back and we still got to talk. It's a very amazing testament for social media.

With the massive success of both The Expendables movies, there are now rumors that there will be a third in the series, starring all women. While I haven't seen the second one yet, that will be remedied this weekend, I do love the idea of them. Gather a bunch of badass action stars, have them kill a lot of no-name henchmen in spectacular explosions and outrageous death sequences. What's not to love? And look at the cast! Sly Stallone, Chuck Norris, Arnold, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews. A movie staring these men shouldn't focus on the plot, it should focus on reckless, fun violence. And the first one succeeded. Many people, myself included, were rather displeased with NBC for teasing us with The Who playing the Closing Ceremony at the Olympics, only to be greeted with a pilot for a show that won't make it 10 episodes (if it does, I will shave my head). Thankfully, here is the video including Baba O'Riley, See Me, Feel Me, and My Generation. Really good stuff! Nice fireworks, too.VIDEO

Author Peter Doggett takes a unique look at a unique artist. David Bowie in the 1970s was doing something no other rock star was doing -- marketing himself on and off the stage. Music wasn't enough for him. Bowie had to create something more, and he did sucessfully. It might of had something to do with his marketing background.
